Autumn Event: 3 Key Issues for School Governors 🗓

This term’s Autumn Conference on 2nd December is based upon the three key functions of the governance role.

Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction: Mike Steen, Senior Performance Analyst – Children’s Performance and Data at BFfC, will update us on the latest Pupil Place Planning in Reading LA.

Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils: Challenging Assessment and Progress under Remote Learning.

Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent: outline of the latest financial issues which governors should be addressing, primarily Covid-19 related.

Places can be booked below. Attendance is free for member schools, and £50 per school to all non-members (this becomes your annual membership fee, and all subsequent attendance will then be free).  Please note that attendance at these events counts as Governor Training/Professional Development and should be added to your school’s training records.

This event will take place remotely via MS Teams.  Joining instructions and meeting protocols will be circulated with your booking confirmation.
