Our Spring term meeting for Safeguarding Governors and Health & Safety Governors will be held on Wednesday, 12th February at The Wren School [click here for directions and parking], starting at 7pm and finishing by 8:30pm. Led by members of your RGA executive committee, with input from BFfC officers, topics to be covered are listed below, but time will also be reserved for attendees to raise their own issues for discussion and advice.
UPDATES FROM READING’S SAFEGUARDING LEADÂ Gill Dunlop, BFfC’s Pupil and School Support Service Manager, will be at the meeting to introduce herself to any governors who she hasn’t yet met, and talk about how her safeguarding role sits alongside her other reponsibilities. Â She will summarise the top issues currently relevant to Reading schools, and signpost recent updates to guidance or best practice which we should be aware of. Â There will then be the opportunity for a Q&A with Gill.
THE THERAPEUTIC BEHAVIOUR APPROACHÂ Are governors supporting and challenging the implementation of the TBA in your school? Â How? Â What impact has it had to date?
