Congratulations to Thameside Primary School, whose Ofsted Report was published yesterday, on their Good judgement under the current inspection framework. Thameside is the first Reading school to have undergone this new process.
They were particularly praised for being a “highly inclusive school”, and “Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported incredibly well.” Additional praise was given for learning in maths, extra-curricular activities, and considerate, well trained staff. Areas for improvement mostly centred on further development of the curriculum.
We hope that Dr Elizabeth McCrum, the Chair of Governors at Thameside, will be available to feed back her experiences at the next Chairs, Vice-Chairs and Clerks Network meeting on 29th January. Please see the events page in order to book your places.
