Bringing Reading Schools Closer Together

Upcoming webinar on remote learning from Better Governor

Following on from the topic of the quality of remote learning, which our CVCC network explored last week, Better Governor is holding a webinar on 1st October, aimed at governors who are seeking assurance that the remote learning offer is fit for purpose.  It will explore the expectations that those involved in school governance should have of schools’ plans to deliver a remote curriculum to pupils in the event of:

  • Closure of class or year group bubbles
  • Rota attendance in secondary schools
  • Pupils who for COVID-19 related reasons are unable to be in school

They will outline Department for Education guidance on the topic and focus on how governors should, through strategic oversight, seek assurance that schools have robust plans in place to support pupil learning.

The webinar runs from 8am to 9am and will be hosted by Better Governor’s governance experts, Steve Barker and Linda Waghorn. It will be a mix of input from them alongside real-time opinion polls and the opportunity to ask your own questions. To secure your place at this webinar, register now.
