Bringing Reading Schools Closer Together

BFfC announces the retirement of our Director of Education

As most school opened their doors yesterday to pupils for the first day of the academic year, BFfC announced the startling news that Professor Doctor Kate Reynolds, Director of Education, Research and Business Development is retiring on 30th September.

A highly popular colleague, Kate’s presence will be sorely missed, and governors hope that her imminent departure will not lead to any instability in those education projects currently underway or about to start.

Kate joined Reading from Bath Spa University as substantive Director of Education from 2019-21.  She followed Mark Fowler (interim 2019), Paul Wagstaff (interim 2018), Chris Kiernan (interim 2017-18), Richard Blackmore (substantive 2016-17), Dan Neal (interim 2016), Austin McNamara (interim 2015-16) and Kevin McDaniel who left in 2015.

We wish Kate every success in her next venture.
